Femme by Hugo Boss, released in 2006, is a light, fruity floral. Flowers lead, with sweet and citrus sides about half as strong and a touch of amber warmth.

The opening is freesia with tangerine and blackcurrant, fresh and faintly tart. The heart is a classic trio of Bulgarian rose, lily and jasmine, soft and feminine without being heavy. The base is unusual for staying bright: apricot and lemon tree keep a fruity, citrus freshness going, while amber adds a gentle warmth to finish.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, though a fair number find it very weak, and the trail is moderate or intimate, so it is a scent that stays near you rather than fills a room. It is voted for spring and summer and overwhelmingly for daytime. It suits someone who wants a clean, pretty floral for the office and warm days, and does not mind topping it up.
