Wondermusk, a 2024 release from the Spanish brand House of Fanatics worn by anyone, is a clean rose musk with a citrus top. Everyone who describes it says floral, about two-thirds add citrus, and a third notice spice, musk or amber.
Calabrian bergamot opens it with a bright, slightly bitter citrus, and neroli adds a fresh, green orange-blossom lift. Pink pepper gives a light, rosy sparkle that leads into the heart, where white rose and rose sit together, the white rose fresh and dewy, the other fuller and softer. Incense is the unexpected note, bringing a dry, faintly smoky resin to the base that gives the scent some backbone. Musk closes it, soft and skin-like, and is the thread the name refers to.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported by wearers, and musk-based rose scents are usually gentle in projection. It suits daytime wear in spring and summer, for someone who likes rose kept fresh, clean and understated.
