Aldehydes, bergamot and bitter orange give a sparkling, slightly soapy opening in the old-fashioned manner. Rose, lily of the valley and geranium form a bright, dewy bouquet, with orris root adding a cool, refined powder. The base is where the richness lies: oakmoss for a dry, forest-floor depth, vetiver for earthiness, tonka bean and vanilla for warm sweetness, and civet and musk for a soft, animalic skin feel.
