Amber, from the Italian house Giardino Benessere, was composed by Paolo Terenzi in 2015 and is worn by anyone. It is a floral amber in the fullest sense: floral and ambery are both used by everyone who describes it, and about a third also find it musky, resinous or citrusy.
Bergamot gives a brief citrus lift at the start, but jasmine and ylang-ylang are present from the first moment, creamy, heady and warm. The heart brings crystal amber and labdanum, the resin that gives classic amber its sweet, slightly leathery, balsamic depth, with jasmine continuing through. The base is opoponax, a sweet, smoky myrrh-like resin, amberwood for dry warmth, and heliotrope, which adds a powdery, almond-vanilla softness.
Reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. By character it belongs to autumn and winter evenings, and to someone who likes rich resins and white flowers together. It is sold in a large bottle.
