There is no formal pyramid. Bergamot, grapefruit and tangerine with petitgrain give a bright, bitter citrus opening, sharpened by basil and caraway. Jasmine and orris root add a floral, powdery middle, and immortelle brings a warm, slightly syrupy, hay-like sweetness. The ground beneath is oakmoss and vetiver for a dry, earthy greenness, labdanum for resin, and ambergris and musk for a salty, skin-like warmth that lasts.
Most wearers report long-lasting performance and a fifth find it lasts all day, while about half call the sillage strong. Votes split between autumn and spring and lean slightly towards daytime. It is worn by anyone, and suits someone who wants a citrus that behaves like a serious perfume.
