Barakkat Ambre Eve

Barakkat Ambre Eve, released by Fragrance World in 2022, is a sweet, resinous amber. Everyone who describes it uses the words gourmand, resinous and amber; about half also find it woody or citrus.

The notes come as a single list. Bitter orange provides the citrus flash at the start, a slightly marmalade-like brightness that lifts the heavier materials. The core is a classic amber accord: labdanum for a warm, leathery resin, benzoin and Siam benzoin for a vanilla-like balsamic sweetness, and amber itself for glow. Vanilla and tonka bean push the gourmand side with a creamy, almond-tinged sweetness. Cedar adds a dry woody frame that keeps the resins from becoming syrupy.
