The opening pairs red berries with incense, so a tart, jammy fruitiness arrives wrapped in dry, resinous smoke. Narcissus sits in the heart, a green, slightly animalic flower that reads more earthy than pretty. The base is where the fragrance spends most of its time: sandalwood and guaiac wood give a creamy, faintly smoky warmth, oak and cedar keep it dry and structured, and tonka bean with vanilla soften the edges into something comfortable.
