The long list is not split into stages. Grapefruit, pink grapefruit and mandarin open bright and bitter-sweet, with pink pepper and cardamom adding a fizzy, aromatic spice and nutmeg a warmer one. The heart is more floral than most men's scents: rose, violet and jasmine together give a soft, slightly powdery roundness. Cedar and vetiver dry it down into clean wood, patchouli adds earth, tonka bean a sweet, almond-like warmth, and ambergris with musk a salty, skin-like finish.
