Iso E Super on its own is a soft, velvety wood with a faintly peppery, slightly ambery warmth. It is often hard for the wearer to smell at all, then suddenly noticeable again, and it tends to read on others as a pleasant, clean skin scent rather than as perfume. That is both the appeal and the frustration.
