Ciao Bella, composed by Mylène Alran for the Spanish label El Ganso in 2022, is a bright citrus floral for women. Citrus and floral are the two descriptions everyone gives; about two thirds also call it sweet and green, and a third find wood or amber beneath.
Lemon, grapefruit and bergamot make a sparkling opening, with petitgrain adding a bitter, leafy twist. Blackcurrant and currant leaf and bud bring a tart, green sharpness that keeps it lively. The heart is white-floral: orange blossom, jasmine and gardenia, sweet and sunny. Cedar, amber, musk and tonka bean form a warm, lightly sweet base that softens the citrus as it fades.
Reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been collected. On character this is a spring and summer scent, best in daylight, cheerful and easy, suited to anyone who likes a citrus that turns floral rather than woody. It is sold in a large bottle.
