Mandarin and Amalfi lemon open it brightly. The heart is cooler and slightly unusual: violet gives a powdery, faintly metallic floral note, coriander adds a green spice, and Virginia cedar a dry woodiness. The base is resinous and warm, with styrax, benzoin and French labdanum giving a sweet, balsamic amber, and leather adding a smooth, slightly smoky depth beneath it.
Most people report moderate to long-lasting wear and moderate sillage, with a third finding it strong. Despite its warm base it is voted most for spring and summer, and more for daytime than night. It suits men who like amber but want it light enough for mild weather.
