Supergloss is a bright, woody floral with a fruity edge, released by the Italian house CoSTUME NATIONAL in 2021, composed by Dominique Ropion and intended for women.
Red fruits open it with a juicy, slightly tart sweetness, lifted by orange blossom, which adds a honeyed, luminous floral note. The heart pairs rose with osmanthus, the latter bringing its apricot-and-suede character, and lily of the valley, which keeps things fresh and green. The base is firmly woody: cedar gives a dry, pencil-like crispness, vetiver an earthy, grassy edge, patchouli depth, and benzoin a soft, balsamic warmth to round it off.
It suits spring and autumn and moves easily from daytime to evening. Anyone who likes rose-and-osmanthus florals with a woody backbone should find it appealing.
