The opening is a full spice rack: pink pepper for a rosy, peppery sparkle, cardamom for a cool, green warmth, nutmeg for a sweet, woody heat, and saffron for its dry, leathery, slightly metallic edge. The heart pairs myrrh and geranium, the myrrh bitter, resinous and faintly medicinal, the geranium green and rosy, so the middle feels both smoky and fresh. The base is dark and heavy: incense brings a dry, church-like smoke, agarwood a deep, animalic wood, leather a smooth richness, and patchouli an earthy anchor.
