Robinson Bear, composed by Fabrice Pellegrin for the British house Atkinsons in 2020, is a dry, green woody scent worn by anyone. Woody is the description everyone gives; about a third also call it green, fresh, resinous or leathery.

Juniper berries open it with a gin-like, piney sharpness, joined by calone, a watery, melon-tinged freshness. Santolina brings a bitter, herbal greenness and star anise a faint, sweet liquorice warmth. The base is where the character settles: cedar and Virginia cedar for dry, pencil-sharp wood, oakmoss for a cool, mossy depth, patchouli for earth, and labdanum for a sticky, resinous, slightly leathery warmth.

Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection. By character it suits autumn and spring, daytime walks and relaxed evenings, and anyone who likes forest-floor woods with a fresh, aromatic start. It is sold in a large bottle.
