Bergamot gives a brief, bright opening before the scent turns rich and textured. Fig and fig nectar bring a milky, green, honeyed sweetness, while almond and hazelnut add toasted, nutty depth. Cocoa and cacao pod contribute a bittersweet, chocolatey warmth, and whiskey a smooth, malty, boozy tone. Iris and geranium add a cool, powdery and rosy floral touch. The base is warm and resinous, with beeswax giving a honeyed, waxy richness, benzoin and amber a balsamic sweetness and patchouli and cedar an earthy, woody frame.
Unisex in spirit, it suits people who enjoy layered, decadent gourmands. Named after the leopard of Sicilian literature, it suits autumn and winter evenings, dinners and festive occasions. Those who like fig, cocoa and whiskey compositions should find it opulent and absorbing.
