Lily of the valley opens it with a fresh, dewy, slightly green floral note, and ylang-ylang adds a creamy, custard-like warmth. The heart is where the powder comes from: orris root for a cool, suede-like, cosmetic softness and coumarin for a hay-like, almond-tinged sweetness. The base is warm and dry: cedar and vetiver for clean, rooty wood, patchouli for an earthy depth, benzoin for a sweet balsamic resin, beeswax for a honeyed, slightly waxy warmth and musk for a smooth, skin-like finish.
It wears as a soft, close-to-the-skin scent that suits cooler weather and both day and evening, in the manner of a classic powdery musk. It suits someone who likes iris and musk together with a woody, resinous base and wants a shared fragrance that is quiet rather than loud.
