The notes come in a single list. Grapefruit and bergamot provide a bright, slightly bitter opening; pepper, nutmeg and cardamom bring a dry, warm spiciness, with cardamom adding a cool, green freshness; basil contributes a herbal, kitchen-garden lift; and guaiac wood with sandalwood forms the base, guaiac smoky and slightly tarry, sandalwood creamy and smooth. There is no sweetness listed, so the scent stays dry and brisk throughout.
