Hayat is a spiced oud from Xerjoff, released in 2023 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, most add spicy, and a minority find it aromatic, amber or citrus.

Bitter orange and cardamom give a brisk, slightly bitter opening, with lavender adding a cool aromatic touch. Cinnamon and saffron then warm things up considerably, the cinnamon sweet and hot, the saffron dry and leathery. The base carries most of the weight: oud and cypriol bring dark, smoky, slightly earthy woods, Atlas cedar adds a dry, pencil-like sharpness, patchouli deepens it, and amber softens the finish.

There are no community reports yet on how long it lasts or how far it carries. Cinnamon, saffron and oud together suggest cold weather and evening wear, and a wearer who likes warm, dense spice over freshness. It should sit comfortably with people who already enjoy Middle Eastern-style woody compositions.
