Cardamom opens it with a warm, aromatic spice. Sage follows, green, herbal and slightly savoury, and jasmine provides the floral element, warm rather than dewy. Vetiver gives an earthy, dry, faintly smoky wood, and ambrette, the musk mallow seed, brings a soft, natural musk with a slightly nutty, skin-like quality. With only five notes, the scent evolves gently rather than in stages.
