The notes are listed without a pyramid, but two layers stand out. On top, a bouquet of white flowers: magnolia, lily of the valley, lily, jasmine and ylang-ylang, bright and creamy, with orange adding a touch of juice and saffron a warm, slightly leathery spice. Underneath, the mood changes: leather and birch bring a tarry, smoky depth, oakmoss a damp forest-floor greenness, and sandalwood, precious woods and ambergris a warm, salty, woody finish softened by musk.
