The note list is long, but the main threads are clear. Sweet orange, coriander, cardamom, ginger and saffron give a bright, warm, golden spice. Dried fruits and spun sugar add a sticky, candied sweetness. The heart is a lavish rose, Turkish, Bulgarian and Damask, rich and velvety. The base is dark and animalic: agarwood gives a smoky oud, civet, castoreum and leather a warm, skin-like, leathery depth, and incense, benzoin and vanilla a soft, resinous sweetness.
Fakhama is shared and can be worn by anyone bold enough. It is a dense evening scent for autumn and winter, celebrations and special occasions, and should appeal to people who love opulent, animalic Middle Eastern compositions.
