The name means passion or obsession in Hindi and Urdu. Saffron opens it with a warm, leathery and honeyed spice, while lavender and sage bring a clean, aromatic herbal freshness. In the heart, rose gives a velvety petal note and tuberose a creamy, heady richness. The base is deep and warm: agarwood, or oud, adds a smoky, resinous woodiness, labdanum a sticky, ambery resin, patchouli an earthy depth, and vanilla and tonka bean a creamy, almond-like sweetness.
