It opens with pineapple, bergamot and grapefruit, a juicy, tangy fruit cocktail with a slightly bitter citrus edge that keeps the sweetness in check. The heart is drier than the opening suggests: cedar and patchouli give a pencil-shaving, earthy woodiness, and jasmine adds a soft floral sheen rather than a heavy flower. The base settles on oakmoss, further dry woods and amber, so the drydown is mossy, warm and slightly dark, which matches the name.
