Mandarin orange and pink pepper give the opening a juicy, rosy sparkle, and davana adds a boozy, fruity warmth. Fir brings a green, resinous, coniferous note that recalls a winter forest. The core is rich in resins: labdanum gives a sticky, ambery depth, opoponax a sweet, warm, slightly powdery balsam, Tolu balsam a vanilla-like sweetness and myrrh a bittersweet, smoky glow. Cedar, including Virginia cedar, provides a dry woody frame, and tonka bean an almond-like sweetness.
