The notes are listed together rather than in stages. Galbanum and artemisia give a sharp, bitter, resinous greenness, the kind associated with vintage perfumery, while neroli and orange blossom add a bright, slightly honeyed floral lift. Beneath them, oakmoss brings a dry, forest-floor earthiness, patchouli depth, and tobacco and leather a warm, smoky, slightly animal finish, with ambrette adding a soft, skin-like musk.
