Bitter orange and lemon give a bright, slightly bitter citrus start, and eucalyptus adds a cool, camphorous freshness that stands out against the warmth to come. Cloves, in their Madagascar form, bring a dry, medicinal, Christmas-spice heat, and jasmine adds a thread of white flower. The base is rich: bourbon vanilla gives a deep, boozy sweetness, sandalwood a creamy wood, patchouli an earthy darkness and vetiver a dry, rooty edge. White musk and musk give a soft, lingering finish.
