Minotaure by Paloma Picasso is a 1992 masculine fragrance composed by Michel Almairac, and it is floral first: people agree on a floral core, with most also finding it sweet and about half woody, plus green, fresh and citrus touches.

The opening is busy and bright, with fruity notes, bergamot and aldehydes for sparkle, galbanum for a sharp green bite, and coriander with tarragon adding a spicy-herbal edge. The heart is a full bouquet of rose, lily of the valley, geranium and jasmine, with geranium giving the slightly minty, rosy freshness common in classic men's scents. It dries down warm and smooth, as cedar and sandalwood bring wood, tonka bean and vanilla a soft sweetness, and amber with musk a rounded finish.

Most wearers find longevity and sillage moderate. Votes are spread across autumn and spring and split almost evenly between day and night, so it suits someone who likes a polished, old-school floral-woody scent for the office or a dinner out.
