Black pepper, pepper and cinnamon open it with a dry, warm heat, and plum adds a ripe, dark fruitiness. The heart is built on Turkish rose and rose, deep, velvety and slightly honeyed. The base is where the amber of the name lies: frankincense, also listed as olibanum, brings a dry, smoky resin, labdanum a sticky, warm amber, benzoin a soft, vanilla-like sweetness, and patchouli and sandalwood an earthy and creamy woodiness.
