Incense Oud is a woody scent with a strong amber and musky base, plus spicy, floral and leather touches. It comes from Nicolai Parfumeur Createur, released in 2016, and was composed by Patricia de Nicolai.
Coriander and artemisia open it dry and herbal, with a slightly bitter green edge. The heart is Cambodian oud with rose and incense, so it becomes resinous and smoky with a soft floral glow beneath. Cedar and Atlas cedar add a dry, pencil-shaving wood, and patchouli an earthy depth. The base is the warmest part: amber and styrax for resinous sweetness, musk and ambrette for a soft, skin-like finish, and castoreum for a leathery, animalic depth.
