Talco, Italian for talc, is a 2022 powdery floral from New Notes. Flowers lead, about half of those who describe it note wood, and smaller groups find sweetness, musk, amber and citrus.

Bergamot gives a soft, bright opening. The heart is a classic powder-room bouquet: Moroccan and Damask rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang bring a velvety, creamy floral warmth, while iris adds a cool, buttery powder. The talc note itself gives a clean, dry, baby-powder softness that runs through the scent. The base is warm and smooth, with palisander rosewood and precious woods for a gentle woody frame, vanilla and tonka bean for sweetness, and amber and musk for a soft, skin-close finish.

Talco is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits the office, daytime and quiet evenings across the year, and should appeal to people who love nostalgic, powdery florals that feel clean and comforting.
