Coffee opens it, dark, roasted and slightly bitter, giving the scent its distinctive character. Jasmine sits in the heart, smooth and a little heady, softening the bitterness with a floral sweetness. The base is warm and rich: tonka bean gives an almondy, hay-like sweetness, labdanum a honeyed, leathery resin, ambergris a salty, mineral warmth, and musk a soft, skin-like finish that holds everything close.
