Gingembre, the French for ginger, is a 2019 fragrance by Mathieu Nardin for Molinard. Citrus leads, and smaller groups note spice, wood, greenery, flowers and amber.

The top is a citrus burst: lemon verbena gives a lemony, herbal freshness, while mandarin orange, tangerine, bergamot and grapefruit bring a juicy, sparkling zest. In the heart, ginger takes centre stage, zesty, warm and slightly peppery, joined by nutmeg for a rounder spice, petitgrain for a green, leafy edge and jasmine for a soft floral touch. The base is dry and clean, with vetiver for an earthy root, mineral notes for a cool, stony feel, woody notes for structure and amber for warmth.

Gingembre is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits spring and summer, daytime, the office and active days, and should appeal to people who like bright citrus scents with a lively, spicy ginger kick.
