The opening is spiced and dry: saffron gives a leathery warmth, cardamom and black pepper a sharp, aromatic bite, and agarwood an immediate resinous, slightly smoky depth. The heart is simply floral notes, a soft, unnamed bouquet that bridges the spice and the sweetness. The base is where the name is earned, with Madagascar vanilla bringing a rich, creamy sweetness, sandalwood a smooth, milky wood and guaiac wood a dry, smoky edge.
