L'Oudh by Maison Alhambra, released in 2022 and worn by anyone, is a woody fragrance first and foremost. A minority of wearers also describe it as spicy, floral or resinous. The note list is short.
The notes are listed together. Agarwood is the centre, smoky, resinous and dense. Saffron adds a warm, leathery spice and rose a soft, rich floral note that lifts the oud. Labdanum brings a sweet, ambery resin. Patchouli gives earth, and cedar and sandalwood supply a dry and a creamy wood respectively, filling out the base.
Oud, saffron and rose over resin and woods is a cold-weather, evening profile and suits anyone who wants a conventional oud composition without much fruit or sweetness. There are no community reports yet on how long it lasts or how far it carries, so it is worth trying on skin before buying.
