Royal Tiaré is a spiced floral from the Italian house LPDO, released in 2021 and marketed to women. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, a little under half find it spicy, and a smaller group mention gourmand, woody, musky and amber.

Black pepper opens it with a dry, tingling warmth, unusual for a flower-led scent. The heart is full: ylang-ylang, creamy and sweet; jasmine, rich and heady; rose, soft and honeyed; lily of the valley, dewy and green; and carnation, which adds a clove-like spiciness that picks up the pepper from the opening. The base is warm and smooth, with vanilla giving sweetness, amber a resinous glow, cedar a dry wooden edge and musk a soft finish.

The pepper and carnation give this white floral more bite than most. It suits evenings and the cooler months, or daytime in autumn, and should appeal to anyone who likes big flowers with a spicy, warm drydown.
