1986 Eclectique

1986 Eclectique is a busy, spiced gourmand from Les Bains Guerbois, released in 2021 and composed by Bertrand Duchaufour. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy and gourmand, about half add green, floral and amber, and a minority notice citrus. It is worn by anyone.

The note list is long, so only the main lines are worth following. Mandarin orange, apple and cardamom open it, bright and lightly fruity, with black pepper and cloves bringing heat. Honey, dried fruits and tobacco form the sweet, slightly smoky core, while broom, jasmine and honeysuckle add a hay-like, honeyed floral layer. Oakmoss, patchouli, opoponax and amber settle the base into something dark, resinous and warm.

There are no community reports yet on longevity or projection. Tobacco, honey and spice point clearly to autumn and winter evenings, and to someone who likes a rich, layered scent with more character than sweetness alone.
