The opening is sea air: sea notes and salt give a cool, mineral, briny freshness, and lemon a clean, sharp lift. The heart is small but distinctive, as davana adds a fruity, slightly boozy, apricot-like warmth and iris a cool, powdery smoothness. The base is where the staying power comes from, with sandalwood giving a creamy wood, oakmoss a dry, bitter, forest-floor greenness and ambergris a salty, warm, skin-like glow.
