The composition rests on three notes. Vanilla and vanilla absolute give a rich, dark, slightly boozy sweetness, more complex than the vanilla of confectionery, with the absolute adding a deeper, faintly smoky, leathery edge. Amber wraps around it with a warm, golden, resinous glow, so the sweetness feels enveloping rather than sugary.
