Blood orange opens it, juicy and a little bitter, the only bright element in the composition. Saffron follows with a dry, warm, faintly leathery spice, and rose adds a soft floral note that sits naturally with both. Patchouli and patchouli leaf form the body of the scent, earthy, dark and slightly chocolatey, and leather underneath gives it a smooth, smoky depth that makes the whole thing feel serious.
It reads as an evening and cold-weather fragrance in the oriental-woody tradition, suited to someone who likes patchouli and saffron and wants a scent with depth and a little mystery rather than freshness.
