Antalya, from the Italian house Gritti, is a 2010 release that pairs the sea with tobacco, and it is worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it finds it woody and fresh, and about half add aromatic and amber.

Sea water and seaweed open it with a salty, mineral, slightly briny freshness that smells of coast rather than clean laundry. Myrtle adds a green, aromatic, faintly medicinal herb note, like Mediterranean scrub. Beneath that the composition turns warmer: cedar gives a dry, pencil-wood cleanness, tobacco adds a sweet, hay-like depth, and amber rounds everything off with a soft resinous warmth that keeps the marine side from feeling cold.

The contrast between salt and tobacco gives it more character than most aquatic scents. It suits daytime in warm weather, especially by the sea, and should appeal to people who want a fresh fragrance with a woody, slightly smoky finish rather than a purely sporty one.
