Grapefruit, tangerine and Calabrian bergamot open it, sweet and zesty, with blackcurrant and its leaf and bud adding a tart, green, slightly catty sharpness. Pink pepper gives a gentle rosy spice. The heart is softer than many men's scents: lavender brings a clean, herbal note, while rose and magnolia add a light, lemony floral warmth. The base is where the sweetness and the wood meet: tonka bean gives a creamy, hay-like sweetness, vetiver and patchouli an earthy, rooty dryness, and ambergris and musk a warm, salty, skin-like finish.
