Mandarin orange and bergamot give a bright, fresh opening. The heart is a vintage-style bouquet: champaca brings a rich, apricot-like white flower, May rose and rose a velvety bloom, carnation and cassia a clove-like, spicy warmth, lily of the valley a dewy freshness, and heliotrope and orris root a soft powder. Metallic notes add a cool, modern edge. The base is mossy and green, with oakmoss, moss and mousse de Saxe for a damp, leathery, old-school depth, tobacco for warmth, and amber and patchouli for richness.
