Mocha Wood

Mocha Wood by Fragrance World, released in 2023 for anyone to wear, is a woody coffee scent. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, most add gourmand, and a third find it floral or amber, with a minority mentioning spicy or resinous, which fits a dark, dessert-like wood.

The notes are many and listed together. Coffee and hazelnut set the tone, roasted, nutty and a little bitter, with rhubarb adding a tart, green surprise at the start. Saffron brings a dry, leathery spice, and rose and ylang-ylang give a soft floral glow in the middle. Tobacco adds a sweet, dried-leaf depth, tonka bean a warm almond sweetness, and benzoin a balsamic resin. The base is a thick wood: Indian oud for a resinous darkness, guaiac wood and sandalwood for smoke and cream, and balsam fir for a cool, green, pine-like edge.

Wear reports are still few. Its character belongs to winter evenings, for someone who wants a rich coffee and wood scent with real depth.
