The pyramid is clearly structured. Galbanum and bergamot open sharp and bitter, the galbanum bringing an intensely green, snapped-stem quality that gives the scent its name. The heart is lavender, neroli and ginger: aromatic, lightly floral and warmly spiced in turn. The base is cedar and Cashmeran with amber and smoke, so the finish is dry, woody and faintly smoky rather than sweet.
Vert Fougere is positioned as masculine. The green citrus opening suits daytime and the warmer half of the year, while the smoky woody base gives it enough depth for cooler evenings. It fits someone who likes the classic fougère idea but wants it greener and drier. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
