Amber Sky, composed by Olivier Pescheux for Ex Nihilo in 2016, is a spiced, sweet wood. Those who describe it call it spicy, sweet and woody in equal measure, and about half also find it floral, amber-like or citrusy.

The notes are listed together. Bergamot gives a brief, bright citrus opening. Coriander and nutmeg provide the spice, the first cool and slightly citrusy, the second warm and a little bitter. Geranium adds a green, rosy sharpness that is the only floral element. Cedar and sandalwood form the woody core, dry and creamy together, and amber, vanilla and tonka bean close it with a soft, resinous, hay-like sweetness that lasts well into the drydown.

Amber Sky is worn by anyone. By character it is a cool-weather fragrance that works for day or evening, warm without being heavy, and it suits people who want an amber with more spice and wood than vanilla.
