It opens with aldehydes, which give a sparkling, soapy and almost starched-linen brightness, lifted by lemon and softened by peach. The heart is a large, airy bouquet: rose, jasmine and lily of the valley bring a clean floral body, carnation a clove-like spice, iris and orris root a cool powder, and lilac, hyacinth and violet a fresh, slightly green sweetness. The base is warm yet dry, with oakmoss and vetiver giving an earthy, mossy depth, cedar and sandalwood a woody frame, and tonka bean, benzoin, honey and amber a soft, golden warmth.
