Escentric 05 by Escentric Molecules, composed by Geza Schoen and released in 2020, is a green, sunlit floral that smells of a Mediterranean garden. Floral is the word most people use, with green, woody, aromatic and citrus facets equally strong and a touch of amber.
The opening is herbal and fruity: fig and fig leaf with juniper, laurel, basil and rosemary, lifted by orange and bergamot. The heart is airy rather than heavy, with iris adding a cool powderiness, freesia and jasmine a light floral sweetness, cypress a resinous green note and hedione a transparent, jasmine-like glow. The base is soft and modern, with ambroxan, Iso E Super and cashmeran for a smooth, radiant woodiness, mastic for a pine-like resin, and labdanum and musk for warmth.
