Imperium comes from the British house Electimuss and was composed in 2020 by Sofia Bardelli and Marco Genovese. It is floral first, woody for more than half of wearers, and spicy for a good number; a minority also find gourmand, musky and citrus sides. It is worn by anyone.
Bergamot and coriander open it with a short burst of citrus and a dry, slightly peppery spice. The heart is a dense bouquet of rose, jasmine, neroli, lily and tuberose, with saffron threading a warm, leathery spice through the flowers. The base is deep and long: guaiac wood and oud bring smoke and resin, patchouli adds earth, and musk, amber and vanilla soften the whole into a warm, slightly sweet glow.
About half of wearers call it long lasting; sillage is moderate for most, strong for a quarter. It is voted for spring and summer and more for daytime than night, so despite the heavy base it reads as a rich floral for warmer months.
