Mandate from Eden Classic is a woody, aromatic fragrance released in 1976 for men. Woods lead, followed by spice, green and aromatic facets, with lighter ambery and citrus touches.

Bergamot gives a brief citrus lift, while lavender, rosemary and clary sage bring a herbal, aromatic freshness typical of classic masculine fragrances. Cloves and cinnamon add a warm, festive spice, and geranium a rosy, green touch. Pine contributes a resinous, forest-like freshness. The base is built on cedar and Virginia cedar for dry, pencil-shaving woodiness, oakmoss for an earthy depth, and tonka bean, amber and musk for a warm, soft finish.

This is a traditional, well-structured scent suited to autumn and winter, the office, formal occasions and evenings. It reflects the era it comes from, with a clear barbershop and fougère influence. It suits those who like classic, spicy, woody aromatics with a mossy, warm base.
