Diorella, released by Dior in 1972 and composed by Edmond Roudnitska, is a green, fruity chypre. People describe it as floral first, with sweet, woody and citrus facets for most and fresh, aromatic touches for a minority.

The opening is sharp and green: Sicilian lemon and bergamot with basil and green notes, softened by a slice of melon. The heart is a full floral, Moroccan jasmine and rose with honeysuckle, carnation and cyclamen, and a ripe peach that gives it a slightly overripe, summery sweetness. The base is classic chypre territory, oakmoss and vetiver for a dry, earthy greenness, patchouli for depth and musk for a soft finish.

Most wearers report moderate longevity and most find the sillage moderate. It is voted for spring and summer and strongly for daytime, so it suits warm days and someone who likes fresh, slightly bitter fruit over sugary sweetness.
